Student & Community Safety Reminder
At Haultain Memorial School, the safety of our students and community is a top priority. As the roads get slippery and mornings get busier, we kindly ask for everyone’s continued support in keeping everyone safe.
Please help us by following these important safety reminders:
Use Designated Crosswalks
We have noticed an increase in jaywalking near the school. For everyone’s safety, please model safe habits by crossing only at marked crosswalks. This helps our students learn to make safe choices and keeps traffic flowing smoothly.
Watch for Our Student Patrollers
Our student patrollers are in training and committed to helping everyone cross safely. Please slow down, watch for their signals, and follow their instructions. Your cooperation supports their leadership and helps ensure a safe crossing for all.
Stay Out of the Staff Parking Lot
For the safety of both children and drivers:
- Please do not drop off or pick up students in the staff parking lot.
- Students and families should not walk through the staff lot at any time. Encourage students to walk around the perimeter of the parking lot.
Vehicles entering or exiting the lot may not see small children, especially during busy arrival and dismissal times.
Do Not Make U-Turns
Please do not make U-turns anywhere near the school. U-turns create unpredictable traffic movement and pose a significant risk to children and patrollers.
Thank you for your continued partnership in keeping our school a safe and caring place for everyone. When we all follow these expectations, we model responsibility, respect, and care.
