Coffee & Community Connections

Families are invited to join us for Coffee & Community Connections from 9:00–9:45 a.m. on Friday, October 16 in the Staffroom. Drop in for a coffee, visit with other families, and chat informally with school administration. It’s a great opportunity to connect, ask questions, share ideas, and help build our school community. We hope to see you there.

Safe Streets: Keeping Our Community Safe

Drivers: Help Keep Our Students Safe

  • Slow down and stay alert. Obey speed limits, watch for children, and avoid distractions, including cell phones.
  • Watch for pedestrians. Stop at marked and unmarked crosswalks, watch for pedestrian signals, and always obey school safety patrols.
  • Give school buses space. Watch for blind spots and never enter bus loading zones.
  • Park safely. Use designated drop-off and pick-up areas. Never double park or stop in traffic lanes.
  • Avoid U-turns in playground zones or near crosswalks. Never pass another vehicle at a crosswalk or in a playground zone.
  • Keep crosswalks and intersections clear. Do not stop or park within 5 metres of a crosswalk, intersection, or stop sign.
  • Drop off safely. Whenever possible, have students exit on the sidewalk side of the vehicle.

Help Reduce Traffic Congestion

Whenever possible, consider these alternatives:

  • Drop off farther away and walk to school.
  • Take advantage of early drop-off.
  • Carpool with friends and neighbours.
  • Walk, bike, or ride a scooter or skateboard.
  • Use school bus transportation.

Thank you for helping us keep our school community safe.
