Backpacks for 2026-27 School Year
As the cost of living continues to rise, we recognize that purchasing school supplies can be challenging for some families. Through a partnership with EducationMatters, backpacks filled with essential school supplies are available for students who may need extra support preparing for the school year.
Our goal is to ensure every student arrives at school ready to learn with the supplies they need to succeed.
If your family would benefit from this initiative, please fill in this Request Form by Wednesday, May 27, 2026. All requests will be handled with care and discretion.
Grade 3/4 Raising Fundraising for the Calgary Humane Society
At the end of the month, the Grade 3/4 classes are going on a field trip to the Calgary Humane Society. As part of their work in Social Studies around rights, responsibilities and active citizenship they have been working on developing a fundraising initiative for the Humane Society. Here is their message:
You can donate to help the Calgary Humane Society! Start your race to donate from May 11 - 22. The speediest puppies and slowest sloths are counting on all happy families to donate money or unopened, unexpired, and new pet supplies. Items to bring can include:
- New or gently used dog harnesses or collars
- New or gently used pet toys
- New or gently used clean litter parts and scoops
- New, unopened animal food
- New, unopened animal treats
- New critter supplies
- New Aquatic silk or plastic plants
- Monetary donations

Invite | Spring Music Showcase + Celebration of Learning
You are warmly invited to our Spring Music Showcase + Celebration of Learning on Friday, May 29 from 11:30 – 1:00 pm.
Our students are excited to share the songs, rhythms and musical skills they have been developing in Music this spring. We hope you can join us as we celebrate their hard work, growth and creativity. We will begin in the gym promptly at 11:30 am.
Following the music showcase, families are invited to visit their child’s classroom for our Celebration of Learning. Students will proudly showcase projects, activities, and learning experiences connected to their current curriculum.
We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the wonderful learning taking place throughout our school community!
Student Leadership Bake Sale
Our Student Leaders are excited to organize a Bake Sale on Friday, May 29, 2026, as a school fundraiser supported by the Haultain Memorial Parents Association. Funds raised will help reduce or eliminate costs for families for future field trips, activities, and special experiences for students.
The bake sale will take place during the school day for students, and we will also be selling items to families during our Spring Concert Celebration of Learning on May 29 from 12:00–1:00 p.m. Baked goods will be $1:00 each for single items. Larger items, such as loaves/pies will vary in price.
