Rotary Club Bike Tune Up

On Thursday, May 14 the Rotary Club will be hosting a Bike Tune-Up event at our school. This exciting initiative will take place during morning school hours in the school gym. Students are encouraged to bring their bikes in for a free check-up and basic maintenance. Rotary Club volunteers will be on hand to ensure bikes are safe and ready to ride just in time for spring weather and Bike to School Week (June 1-5, 2026).

This is a great opportunity for students to learn about bike safety, maintenance, and healthy transportation habits—all while keeping their wheels in top shape. Don’t miss it!

Scholastic Book Fair

The BOGO Scholastic Book fair returns the week of June 8! Everything is buy one, get one free. You can mix and match; everything is BOGO! Students will view the book fair on Monday, June 8 and can purchase from the fair during the day on June 10. The book fair will be open to families on Monday, June 8 and Wednesday, June 10 from 3:30 – 4:00 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. McLean at tlmclean@cbe.ab.ca.

Invite | Spring Music Showcase + Celebration of Learning

You are warmly invited to our Spring Music Showcase + Celebration of Learning on Friday, May 29 from 11:30 – 1:00 pm.

Our students are excited to share the songs, rhythms and musical skills they have been developing in Music this spring. We hope you can join us as we celebrate their hard work, growth and creativity. We will begin in the gym promptly at 11:30 am.

Following the music showcase, families are invited to visit their child’s classroom for our Celebration of Learning. Students will proudly showcase projects, activities, and learning experiences connected to their current curriculum.

We look forward to welcoming you and sharing the wonderful learning taking place throughout our school community!

Student Leadership Bake Sale

Our Student Leaders are excited to organize a Bake Sale on Friday, May 29, 2026, as a school fundraiser supported by the Haultain Memorial Parents Association. Funds raised will help reduce or eliminate costs for families for future field trips, activities, and special experiences for students.

The bake sale will take place during the school day for students, and we will also be selling items to families during our Spring Concert Celebration of Learning on May 29 from 12:00–1:00 p.m.

We are inviting families to support this event by donating baked goods for the sale.

For student sales during the school day:

  • Please send individually wrapped items such as cookies, muffins, brownies, rice crispy treats, etc.
  • These items will be sold for $1 each.

For family sales during Celebration of Learning (12:00–1:00):

  • You are also welcome to send larger items such as cakes, loaves, pies, or larger trays of baking that can be sold to parents/guardians at a higher price.
  • If your family is able to contribute, please email Mrs. Young at mayoung@cbe.ab.ca or or Mrs. Prangnell at hmprangnell@cbe.ab.ca to indicate what you plan to send so we can prepare accordingly. Please do not feel obligated, as there will be plenty of donations!

Important reminders:

  • Please avoid items containing peanuts or tree nuts.
  • All items should be packaged appropriately.
  • Please send items to school by the morning of Friday, May 29.

Thank you for supporting this leadership opportunity for our students and for helping make school experiences more accessible for all families.
