Book Your School Conference
Our next round of School Conferences is coming up soon. Conference Booking Opens on March 11 and you can sign up through your MyCBE account. School Conferences provide time for families to discuss their child’s progress and achievement in relation to the intended learning goals. These conferences are one of the formal reporting opportunities the CBE has structured to ensure families understand their child’s achievement over the course of the reporting period. The next formal reporting opportunity will be through report cards in June.
Quest Theatre Residency – Creating Stories Through the Seven Sacred Teachings
Our Quest Theatre residency was a wonderful success! Throughout the week, students worked with visiting artists to create original stories inspired by the Seven Sacred Teachings, using their own ideas and interpretations to shape each performance.
On Friday, students proudly shared their work during a joyful school performance, showcasing creativity, collaboration, and confidence on stage.
We extend our sincere thanks to the Quest Theatre artists and staff for guiding students through this engaging creative process. We are also grateful to the generous donors who support Quest Theatre’s charitable programming for providing a significantly subsidized fee, and to our Haultain School Council for funding the remaining portion and making this enriching arts experience possible for our students.
Gymnastics Unit
From March 16–19, classes will begin using equipment, including the Canadian Climber, with safety expectations reviewed regularly.
To help your child participate safely and comfortably each day, please ensure they are prepared with:
- Clothing that allows free movement
- No hoodies, skirts/dresses, or loose/baggy items that may get caught on equipment. - A single-layer shirt (tucked in is helpful)
- All jewelry removed; long hair tied back
- Indoor running shoes (preferred) or gymnastics slippers
- Optional: shorts or leggings worn under clothing
Throughout this unit, students will practise cooperation, sportsmanship, and safe movement. Please review the following key guidelines with your child:
- Work independently or in small groups quietly to avoid distractions
- Only attempt movements they feel comfortable with—no showing off or risky behaviour
- No pyramid building, forward rolls, or backward rolls (CBE safety policy)
- Follow all teacher instructions for safe movement; unsafe behaviour may result in sitting out
- No aerials or advanced skills outside the CBE-approved list, even for students with private training
If you have any questions about the unit or safety expectations, please contact your child’s teacher.
