Lost & Found Reminder
Our Lost & Found collection is growing! We encourage all families to have their child check the Lost & Found area for any missing jackets, sweaters, water bottles, lunch kits, or other belongings.
Items not claimed by June 25 will be donated to a local charity.
Thank you for helping us reunite lost items with their owners before the end of the school year.
Library News
All library books should now be returned to the school. Overdue notices will be sent home this week.
Grade 6 Moving on Celebration
We are pleased to invite families to the school for an in-person year end assembly. This final gathering will serve as an opportunity to acknowledge and say farewell to our most senior students, our grade sixes. Everyone is welcome to attend the assembly, and the families of our grade six students are welcome to stay afterward for a short social gathering in the gym. There will be some refreshments for the students and a photo booth. The assembly will start at 11:30. Please plan to arrive at least 5 minutes early to ensure ample time to find a seat.
Active Living Day & Family Picnic | June 24
We're looking forward to a fun-filled Active Living Day on Wednesday, June 24. The morning will feature a variety of active living stations and activities for students. We are currently looking for a few more volunteers to help make the day a success. If you are interested in volunteering, please email Melissa at mcostea@parentsofhaultain.ca.
At lunch, we will host a Family Outdoor Picnic from 11:58 a.m. – 12:41 p.m. (weather permitting). All students will eat outside, so please pack a lunch that is easy to enjoy outdoors and generates minimal fly-away garbage. Students will be seated with their classroom/grade groups, and families are invited to join them for lunch. Siblings may move to another group to eat together with their family.
There will also be food trucks on site from 10:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Students may bring money to purchase items for themselves, and community members are welcome to make purchases as well. If you plan to purchase lunch from a food truck during the Family Picnic, we recommend arriving well in advance of our lunch period to ensure you receive your order in time for students to eat. We will send an SMS text message to families once we have confirmation of which food trucks will be attending.
To receive text messages (SMS) from the Calgary Board of Education (CBE) and your child's school, please ensure your mobile number is on file with the school office. Then, text YES to 978338 from your mobile phone.
We are also excited to welcome back the Calgary Public Library Book Truck. Students and families can browse and borrow books throughout the event. All that is needed is a valid Calgary Public Library card. If your child plans to sign out books independently, they must have their own library card.
At 12:41 p.m., students will return to the school for classroom-based activities.
We can't wait to celebrate an active, engaging, and community-focused day together!
All Sport One Day
