Parent Association | Upcoming Fundraising Opportunity | Casino  

The Haultain Memorial School Parent Association needs volunteers to support our upcoming Casino at Deerfoot Inn and Casino on December 19 and 20, 2025. December Spirit Days at HMS 

Our Student Leadership Club is excited to bring a little extra fun and community spirit to December! Mark your calendars and join in: 

  • Wednesday, December 4: Dress as Your Favourite Music Artist Day – Show off your style and creativity. 
  • Tuesday, December 10: Grinch Day / Present Day – Wear Grinch-themed colours or come dressed as a “present” to spread some festive cheer. 
  • Thursday, December 19 (last day before Winter Break): PJ Day (+ Board Games & Stuffies) – Cozy up in your comfiest pajamas and bring a board game and/or stuffie for a fun, relaxing day before the break. 

We can’t wait to see our students’ creativity and school spirit shine. 

The Seven Sacred Teachings at Haultain 

As a reminder, our school is learning with the Seven Sacred Teachings this year: Love, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Wisdom, Humility, and Truth. These teachings help guide how we care for ourselves, each other, and the land. This work continues to support our TRC Commitment: Heart – To Belong, as we learn about reciprocity, respect, and building strong relationships within our school community. 

In December, our focus is Love. Love is at the heart of all the Seven Sacred Teachings. It reminds us to show kindness, empathy, and compassion toward others and ourselves. When we lead with love, we help create a school where everyone feels safe, valued, and supported. Throughout the month, students will explore what love looks like in action—how we can care for one another, lend a helping hand, and express gratitude for the people and community around us.
