Volunteers Needed | May 20, 2025 | Playground Landscaping Prep
HMSPA is looking for a few extra volunteers on May 20, 2025 from 3:30pm to 8:00pm to assist with prepping the land around the playground for grass seed. We are hoping for 15-20 volunteers to assist in raking/cultivating the compacted dirt, installing some snow fencing (wooden posts to be pounded in the ground, snow fencing attached to these with zip ties) and the removal of some worn out plaques on the picnic tables.

Items to bring with you on May 20: closed toe shoes, water bottle, rake or rot-a-tiller if you have one, work gloves. We also need a few power drills with drill bits, sledge hammers, snips/wire cutters for zip ties.

You've likely heard of a meal train to help a family of a newborn, or babysitting train to assist a friend/family member. So why not join our HMS Playground Water Train?
We are looking for a few volunteers to sign up and assist with daily watering of the new grass seed in the evenings during Monday through Friday, as well as twice a day on Weekends for the next month or so. Garden hoses and water are supplied by HMS & our Playground Coordinators Taryn & Crystal will show you the ropes in what's required.
