You can find more information and a link to the meeting (if you choose to join online) on the School Council page of our website.

You can keep up to date by following the Parents of Haultain | Facebook Page.

Patrols

We are happy to announce that school patrols will be starting next week. This is a wonderful opportunity for students in grades 5 and 6 to demonstrate responsibility and contribute to the safety of our school community.

Our patrol team has been busy training these past few weeks and are ready to officially report for morning patrol duty. Please keep an eye out for them at the corner of Queensland Drive and Queensland Circle. Thank you for your support in making our school a safe place for everyone!

Student Leadership Community Update

We are excited to be running Student Leadership Club again this year. This dedicated group of students are developing their leadership skills at our school. The club provides a platform for young leaders to learn, grow, and make a positive impact within our school community. We have a short article to share with you from two of our young leaders, Julia and Amirzai.

We're from the Haultain Memorial Student Leadership Club and we would like to tell you a bit about what we do at our school.

We meet at lunch every month with Mrs. Young and Mrs. Prangnell and other students in grades 4, 5 and 6. We fundraise, advertise and plan fun activities such as Pumpkinella and spirit days like Jersey Day. We let everyone know about special occasions that are coming up. We make posters and we get to do announcements.

Being in the Student Leadership Club means we help our school. I know we are making a difference because we help make school fun and safe. We are building a school community with positive relationships.

Thanks for supporting all the fun things we do at our school.

Third Annual Pumpkinella Showcase

Our Student Leadership Club is bringing you Pumpkinella again this year. They will be setting up the Pumpkin Patch in the Learning Commons. All HMS students & families are invited to bring in a carved or decorated pumpkin on Tuesday October 31st for our Pumpkinella Showcase. This is your chance to share your creativity with our school community and have fun as a family in the process!

Design, carve or dress up a pumpkin to bring to school for display in one of the following categories: Book Characters, animals, cartoons, famous people, original creation, or sports. This is meant to be a fun event, not a scary experience. Please refrain from exhibiting excessive blood and gore or violence in your pumpkin creations. Please do not send real candles.

Bring your pumpkin to the Learning Commons on the morning of Monday October 31st between 7:45 - 8:30am. Be sure to identify the student or family who is the artist of each pumpkin creation. The pumpkins may have a safer journey if they are brought to us by mom or dad. Please follow the direction of the student leaders who will help you to set up your pumpkin in the Pumpkin Patch.

Classes will have the opportunity to experience the Pumpkinella Pumpkin Patch during the day on October 31st. All pumpkins will be sent home at the end of the day to be showcased on your front step in the evening. Have fun!
