Reminder | Walk to School Week

Did you know that Canada held its first national Walk a Child to School Day in 1998 with participants from five provinces? This year, schools from all thirteen provinces and territories join millions of students worldwide as they walk to school during the first week of October. 

International Walk to School week is October 2-6, 2023 and International Walk to School Day Thursday, October 5. With such fine autumn weather, we hope to see many students walking to school this week. It’s better for the environment, great for everyone’s health and helps set the day up for success. Our health and well-being can benefit from a little neighbourhood nature, so let’s get outside and walk (or ride) to school!

Reminder | Good Neighbours Coffee and Community Connections Drop-In

We will be hosting a Good Neighbours Coffee and Community Connections Drop-In on October 13 at 8:25 – 9:15 AM in the gym. This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit with your neighbours and meet some new people in the community. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. We will also have an area set up with gently used children's clothes where people can take what they need and leave what they can. If you have any gently used items you would like to bring to contribute, please ensure they are clean and in good repair. We look forward to this event.
