November School Conferences

School Conferences are coming up soon. Conference Booking is now open, and you can sign up through your MyCBE account. School Conferences provide time for families to discuss their child’s progress and achievement in relation to the intended learning goals. This is also a time for teachers to share evidence of individual student progress and achievement. These conferences are one of the formal reporting opportunities the CBE has structured to ensure families understand their child’s achievement over the course of the reporting period. The next formal reporting opportunity will be through report cards in the new year.

Big Box of Cards Fundraiser Pick Up

If you ordered cards through the Parents Association fundraiser, they will be available for pick up at the school at 3:30 in the office or at the School Council Meeting at 6:30 on Monday, November 17, 2025

Parent Association | Upcoming Fundraising Opportunity | Casino

The Haultain Memorial School Parent Association needs volunteers to support our upcoming Casino at Deerfoot Inn and Casino on December 19 and 20, 2025. This is our major fundraiser and supports many activities/programs at our school.  Please sign up with the following link: https://bit.ly/HMScasino

The Student Leadership Club Thanks You for Supporting the Happy Birthday Project

The HMS Student Leadership Club would like to say thank you to our Haultain community for your generosity during our recent Happy Birthday Project Candy Drive. Together, we collected an incredible 40.6 pounds of candy to help make birthdays a little brighter for children and families in need.

This act of kindness reflects the Sacred Teaching of Love, caring for others, and sharing what we have to bring joy to our community. Your generosity reminds us that even small gestures can make a big difference. Thank you for living this teaching and helping spread love and happiness beyond our school walls.

Reading, Re-Using, and Raising Used Book Sale

Our Student Leadership Club is hosting a Used Book Sale on November 24 and 26 during lunch hour. All books are only $1 each, and funds raised will support in-school presentations, field trips, and other special school events that enrich student learning.

This event connects to the Seven Sacred Teachings of Respect and Love. By re-using books, we show Respect for the Land and help care for our environment. By sharing stories, we show Love for learning, our community, and one another.

Money can be sent to school with students on November 24 and/or 26. If books remain, we will open again from 4:00 – 6:30 on Wednesday and Thursday to coincide with School Conferences so families can browse together.

Coffee and Community Connections

We would like to invite you to a casual Coffee and Community Connections session with our school administration. This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with us, share your thoughts, ask questions, and learn more about what’s happening at our school.

Date: Friday, November 21, 2025
Time: 9:00 – 9:45 am
Location: Staff Room

Whether you have a question, an idea, or just want to catch up, we’re here and happy to talk. We hope you can swing by for a cup of coffee and a friendly chat. We believe that open communication is key to fostering a strong school community, and we’re excited to build those connections with you.

We hope to see you there.
