Reminder | Good Neighbours Coffee and Community Connections Drop-In
We will be hosting our second Good Neighbours Coffee and Community Connections Drop-In on December 1 at 8:25 – 9:15 AM in the gym. This will be a wonderful opportunity to visit with your neighbours and meet some new people in the community. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. We will also have an area set up with gently used children's clothes where people can take what they need and leave what they can. If you have any gently used items you would like to bring to contribute, please ensure they are clean and in good repair. We look forward to seeing many of you again and hopefully some new faces too.
Winter Concert | December 7, 2023
As a reminder, the Winter Concert is coming up on Thursday, December 7 at 6:30 PM. Here are some points to be mindful of:
- Doors open at 6:10
- Students need to be in their classroom no later than 6:20
- Concert begins at 6:30
- Donations of non-perishable food for The Calgary Food Bank will be gladly accepted
Our Parent Association is organizing some fundraising events for this evening, including a 50/50 draw and a raffle for front row seats. A flyer will be sent home with students, and you can also look on the Fundraisers and Donations page of our website for updates.
If you are unable to attend the evening concert, you are welcome to attend the Dress Rehearsal at 9:00 AM. This will be the first time the whole school practices together so please be understanding that the rehearsal may be less polished and may run longer than anticipated.
School-wide Clubs
We have wrapped up our first round of clubs and it was a huge success! Students were excited to meet new friends in our school community and engage in learning in an area of passion. As a follow up, students participated in a survey to ensure they have voice and choice in our clubs. They shared feedback on their experience and offered suggestion for future clubs. Connected to our School Development goal around self-regulation, we inquired if clubs had an impact on students’ well-being. Based on feedback from our student survey, 89.7% of students said that “being in a club helped them stay in the ‘green zone’” (calm, regulated) and 78.1% of students shared that “after clubs I felt calm and ready to learn”. Clubs definitely had a positive impact!
