Principal’s Message
As we wrap up another rewarding school year, I am filled with gratitude for every member of our school community. Watching our students grow academically, socially, and in character has been a joy. We’ve celebrated successes big and small, embraced new challenges, and supported one another every step of the way.
A huge thank-you to our dedicated teachers and support staff for their passion, creativity, and hard work: your commitment truly shapes our school’s heart and soul. To our parents and caregivers: your partnership, encouragement, and trust have been invaluable. And most importantly, to our students: your curiosity, kindness, and resilience inspire us daily.
As the summer break begins, I hope everyone enjoys a restful and rejuvenating time. May you find opportunities to unwind, explore new interests, and spend quality time with loved ones. We can’t wait to welcome you back rejuvenated and ready for another incredible year ahead.
Wishing you all a safe, fun-filled, and relaxing summer.
Report Cards
Families can view, download or print online report cards for kindergarten to Grade 12 students starting Wednesday, June 25 until July 25, 2025, through MyCBE. Within MyCBE, families can also view student information, comments from your child’s teacher, assignments and grades and attendance information.
National Indigenous History Month
June is National Indigenous Peoples History Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the rich history, heritage, and diverse cultures of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis peoples. June 21 is National Indigenous Peoples Day, and June 14–21 is Indigenous Awareness Week in Calgary.
We encourage families to learn, participate, and connect by exploring events and resources available throughout the city. Check out just some of the opportunities in our city:
- Calgary Public Library’s Indigenous Services - discover books, stories, and workshops
- Aboriginal Awareness Week Calgary (AAWC) - learn about events and community initiatives
- The Confluence: Where the Rivers Meet - join on‑the‑ground activities and conversations
- Heritage Park’s National Indigenous Peoples Day activities - experience performances, demonstrations, and family fun
- OHSOTO'KINO: National Indigenous Peoples Day at Studio Bell - celebrate National Indigenous Peoples Day with free admission at Studio Bell! Explore the Speak Up! exhibition and enjoy live performances from Beatrice Deer and Norvin Eagle Speaker with a vibrant ensemble of powwow dancers
Celebrate, reflect, and grow together this June as families and as a connected community.

Community Partner Thank You | John's No Frills Deer Run | Deer Run COOP
We are very lucky to be supported by several community partners. Their support is very much appreciated and helps to make our events more special.
Big thanks to John’s No Frills (Deer Run) for donating bananas, granola bars and water for our Grade 6 Provincial Assessments. Students were very appreciative to have this extra boost while writing the PATs. Thanks as well for donating Freezies for our upcoming Active Living Day. Our students will no doubt find them refreshing after their day of physical activity.
Thank you to Deer Run COOP for donating cupcakes for our Grade 6 Moving on Celebration. The students loved them, and it was a special added touch that made the event even more memorable.
