Playground Fundraising | Student Leadership Loonie Drive | Thank you
Student Leadership Club members would like to thank the community for their support in raising funds for the new playground. The Pizza Party Loonie Drive was a great success. The final total raised by the students was $275. Thanks also goes out to PrestoPie Pizzeria for sponsoring the event. The winning class is Ms. Halter’s and details will be sent to families of students in this class.
Learn and Share | School Planning
Thank you to everyone who participated in our school planning engagement. We know we make better decisions to support student learning when we build understanding and work together.
The feedback we received from the School Council Meeting and the Meeting Evaluation Summary has been uploaded to our website under School Planning Engagement and will be thoughtfully considered in making decisions about school planning. The online School Budget and School Fees Survey had a low number of responses, therefore, to protect anonymity, results will not be posted on the school website. All responses have been reviewed and considered in decision-making with the understanding that the results of this survey are not representative of the entire school community.
Healthy Sexual Development | Family & Caregiver Well-Being Session
As part of a continued effort to support the well-being of students, CBE is committed to sharing valuable information about child and youth well-being with families and caregivers. This is the last (of five) sessions available for families and caregivers, this time focusing on 'healthy sexual development'.

World Book Day
We're excited to announce our upcoming World Book Day competition, and we're inviting students to participate by decorating a potato at home to resemble their favorite book character.
Here's how it works: Children can use a variety of materials such as pens, paint, fabric, paper, and recycled items to transform their potato into a book character of their choice. To ensure stability, we recommend cutting a section from a cardboard toilet roll to create a base for the potato.
The decorated potatoes should be brought to school on Tuesday, April 23rd, for judging. Students are also welcome to dress up as their favorite book characters to celebrate World Book Day, their costume must not include masks or weapons.
We encourage you to support your child's creativity and imagination in this fun activity. Teachers will show examples in their classrooms next week. We look forward to seeing a wide variety of imaginative creations inspired by characters from beloved books. Thank you for your participation and support in making this event a success!
